We highly recommend Kiko's for a unique, fine dining experience! Every aspect is of the highest quality. Round of applause to the Chefs, each plate being carefully crafted and presented. Their dishes offer exquisite taste and distinctive culinary adventures with every part of the plate while also providing delicious cohesion. They also had a few options for our youngest Daughter, buttles noodles being a hit! The atmosphere is a perfect mix of elegant, inviting and comfortable, like your visiting family. The 3 different areas provide their own unique experiences based on carefully placed decor, ambiance and location. They have a lovely outside area adjacent to the creekside walk. They have a lively bar adjacent area as well as a more secluded and romantic section. The Team was on it at every step, from our Waitress, Mckenzie, being a table favorite to the professional crew helping with the water and clearing. The Owner, Kiko, is absolutely delightful and a Gentleman above all, taking every measure to ensure Guests are fully satisfied and well taken care of. This is certainly a place we will return to again soon!

This was such a pleasant experience. The food was great and service was even better! My 9 year old had pasta and sucked it down like Mario, not sure how pasta could be so good but for a kid I recommend their pasta. The appetizer was delish but I think I’d actually prefer without the cheese. Was so fresh and the line wedge for each bite was a nice touch! The main entrees were excellent. Best Peruvian in SLO and we have tried them ALL! The atmosphere was warm/inviting and not pretentious. Beautifully done. Glad he made his dream come true.

This is the best restaurant in SLO. Pictured is the Passion Fruit and Mango Pisco, Pork skewers, Classic Ceviche, Mixto Ceviche, and dessert! Incredible value and filling, but not heavy. Service was personable and engaging. The entire experience felt like a lot of thought had gone into every detail. Will absolutely be back!

What an unexpected gem. I came in to have a pisco sour (first time) and also to get off the street during a busy farmers market. Pisco sour was absolutely amazing; light and refreshing and interesting and perfectly hit the spot. I was fortunate enough to also try a little sample of some of the house's homemade brandy destined for the bottler. (They have a beautiful still sitting in the main room) The liquor was pretty nifty stuff. Super strong but very smooth and fruity. It's not of the menu so don't expect to get it, I only share the story because it added to my experience thanks to the generosity and convivial nature of the staff. It was pretty cool that they shared it with me, educated me about the spirit, and it made my time there a little bit more fun. On to the food, I only had a small appetizer, the octopus ceviche. Pictured here. It's covered in a really novel olive sauce that was full of flavor and robust. Don't order this if you don't like the texture of octopus, but I do. And that sauce was groundbreaking for me. I also tried the scallops, which were good, but I quickly forgot about them after the octopus. Service was truly wonderful. Friendly and relaxed, and totally not judgmental that I didn't know my Peruvian food from a hole in the ground. I sat at the bar, because I'm a bar person, but it looked like their patio was really charming. I would definitely go back

If you like Peruvian food you need to go visit Kiko!! I felt like we were back in Peru! We had the Causa and scallops appetizer to start. Don’t forget your Pisco Sour (and for a secret menu item be sure to order the Pisco Sour with Chicha Morada - a true Peruvian treat!). Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out just as expected and on time. For dinner we chose Pescado and Pasta a la Huancana. We almost ordered the Lomo Saltado or Ossobuco Seco. We ate tons of both while in Peru and both were delicious! So we’re going to come back to try those later. For dessert we ordered the sweet potato flan. It was supposed to come with vanilla ice cream, but when they learned we had visited Peru they gave us a scoop of Lucuma ice cream that they had just gotten that day! So delicious!! I’m so happy we found this place! We miss Peru. It transports us back there. The dishes feel pretty authentic to the Peruvian dishes we’d eaten in Peru. If you are looking for a change please try this place. It was so good! I can’t wait for warmer weather when we feel comfortable sitting outside.

I had an incredible experience here, from the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly atmosphere. The owner and bartender were not only extremely kind but also truly passionate about what they do. The food was authentic Peruvian flavors that transported me straight to Peru and the Pisco was amazing. The service was exceptional, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and go the extra mile to make everyone feel at home. If you’re looking for a place with amazing food, great drinks, and outstanding hospitality, this one is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We’ve been to a couple Peruvian restaurants but Kiko is in another whole league. Gentle, comfortable ambiance with well placed outdoor seating alongside San Luis creek and mission. Owners Kiko and Deseree were a delight and personally shared their unique cuisine combining Spain, African, and Japanese influence into a fusion rich with flavor, color, textures. The Pisco drinks were aromatic, light and refreshing. Seafood dishes were spectacular - highly recommended vegetable skewers, filet options and of course the fish. The rock fish was delicate, sweet and tasty. Just when you think you’ve had the best, their sauces take the flavors to a whole new level. Tangy, flavorful and not too spicy but with a little kick. The SLO ceviche was one of our favorites. We’ll be back since there are so many other things to try. Highly recommended.
